From this process, it can be seen that SONCAP certification is a system, while COC compliance assessment program is only one certification link in this system. Therefore, SONCAP certification and COC certification are different. The difference between the two is that SONCAP is a certification system, while COC certification is just a certification process. Currently, the Nigerian Bureau of Standards has cancelled the COC compliance assessment procedure and the step of exchanging COC certificates for SC customs clearance certificates. SC certificate can be directly used for customs clearance, while COC certificate cannot be directly used for customs clearance in SONCAP certification.
