Toxic and Hazardous Substance Testing and Certification Services

Toxic and harmful substances refer to substances that humans come into contact with under production conditions or in daily life, which can cause diseases or decline their health status. By detecting and managing toxic and harmful substances, we ensure that the purchased raw materials and processed products meet the requirements of non-toxic or low toxicity environmental protection and comply with environmental laws and regulations in various countries. This enables our products to enter domestic and international markets and meet customer requirements and the trend of environmental development.

Key testing contents for toxic and harmful substances:

Toxic and harmful substance testing items:

1. RoHS

(1) Testing items: lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs), polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs);

(2) Testing field: Single product unit or multi position testing, whole machine testing (such as overall testing of mobile phones, computers, etc.).

2. REACH regulation (SVHC testing for substances of high concern under REACH)

(1) See: List of Candidate Substances for SVHC from Batch 1 to Batch 15;

(2) Testing field: products exported to the European Union, including electronic and electrical products, toys, textiles, furniture, automobiles, and components.

3. Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs)

(1) Testing items: phenanthrene, anthracene, benzo (a) anthracene, benzo (b) fluoranthene, benzo (j) fluoranthene, benzo (k) fluoranthene, benzo (ghi) perylene (dianaphthalene), benzo (a) pyrene, benzo (b) pyrene, pyrene, dibenzo (a, n) anthracene, fluoranthene, fluorene, indenzene (1,2,3-cd) pyrene, naphthalene, phenanthrene, pyrene;

(2) PAHs testing method: ZEK 01.4-08, 18 PAHs in German consumer products; National and international standards related standards;

(3) Testing fields: electronic and electrical products, rubber and plastic products, paint and coating products, packaging materials, toys, container materials, leather and textile products, wooden products, etc.

4. VOC (volatile organic compounds)

VOC stands for volatile organic compounds, which have a significant impact on human health. When the concentration of VOCs in the living room reaches a certain level, people may experience headaches, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, etc. in a short period of time. In severe cases, convulsions, coma, and damage to the liver, kidneys, brain, and nervous system can occur, leading to serious consequences such as memory loss.

(1) Types (including but not limited to the following): cyclohexanone, isophorone, methanol, ethanol, phenol, ethyl acetate, benzene, n-butanol, methyl isobutyl ketone, n-butyl acetate, xylene (ortho, meta, para), toluene, styrene, 1,2-dichlorobenzene, acetophenone, methyl ethyl ketone, isopropanol, dichloromethane, trichloroethylene, ethylbenzene, n-hexane, 2-methoxyethyl acetate

(2) VOC testing scope: automotive industry, textile industry, toy industry, tobacco industry, furniture decoration materials, electronic and electrical industry, printing industry, etc.
