Kuwait TIR/TER Testing and Certification Services

1、 Certification Introduction

Kuwait Compliance Assurance Scheme (KUCAS Certification):

Implementation background:

The Kuwait Ministry of Industry (PAI) implemented the "Kuwait Conformity Assurance Scheme" (KUCAS certification) on June 17, 2006. This scheme is implemented by the Kuwait Ministry of Industry (PAI) to verify that all "controlled products" comply with Kuwait's technical regulations, which apply to imported products and similar domestically produced products and are consistent with this scheme.

2、 Scope of controlled products:

Electric toys (excluding non electric toys), household and commercial electronic appliances, automobiles, chemicals, building materials, etc.

Standards adopted:

1. Kuwait Standard Specification (KSS) 2. Gulf Standards Organization (GSO) 3. International Standards (ISO, IEC...) 4. National Standards (BS, EN)

3、 To apply for TER, the following documents need to be prepared:

1) Product testing report: This report needs to be issued by a qualified third-party testing agency, and there is no need to conduct additional testing if there is already a valid testing report.

2) Product images and technical specifications

3) Fill out the TER application form: The blank application form will be provided by the processing agency

Submit the above information to the official designated institution of KUCAS for processing.

How to handle TIR?

If shipments are not frequent, you can apply for a TIR certificate directly before each shipment.

To apply for TIR, the following documents need to be prepared:

1. Packing List: Packing List

2. Form - Proforma Invoice

3. Product testing report: It needs to be issued by a qualified third-party testing agency. If there is already a valid testing report, there is no need to conduct additional testing.

4. COC application form: Blank application form provided by the handling agency

4、 Inspection requirements:

1) Origin Label"Made in China" It must appear on the product, inner packaging, and outer packaging, all of which are indispensable. Meanwhile, "Made in China" Must be engraved or printed (cannot be erased), stickers are not accepted, and are required on every product and packaging.

2) The product manual must have an Arabic manual

3) Mandatory frequency requirement: 50 Hz; Applicable voltage: 230 V, 240 V

4) Special requirements for plug sockets: They must be British triangular plug sockets (BS1363)

5) Electronic and electrical products need to display voltage and frequency on the product label
