1、 Certification Introduction

Jordan Energy Efficiency Certification is a mandatory certification issued and implemented by the Jordanian Standards Organization (JSMO). JSMO is the national standard organization in Jordan that develops energy efficiency related standards.

2、 Control products

JSMO promulgated the National Standards and Metrology Law No. 22 in 2000, and subsequently issued a series of regulations to enforce energy efficiency labeling programs for controlled products based on this regulation. Starting from January 1, 2014, all products within the controlled scope must pass product testing to obtain energy efficiency certificates and be labeled with energy efficiency labels before they can be sold in the Jordanian market.

According to the agreement between Jordan and the European Union, Jordan can accept energy consumption labels that comply with EU regulations. If a product is labeled with an EU energy efficiency label, there will be no need to attach a Jordanian energy efficiency label separately.
