1、 Introduction to COC Certification in Gabon

To demonstrate that the product meets Gabon's national requirements or international standards, and to protect the health, safety, and environment of Gabonese consumers; Protect the public from the hazards of substandard products and prevent the importation of unsafe products. Starting from January 1st, 2016, the Gabonese Bureau of Standards (AGANOR) has implemented this conformity assessment program for all controlled products. There are exporters and local importers of goods exported to Gabon, and their products under control need to meet the conformity certification requirements of the Gabonese Standards Agency (AGANOR – Agence Gabonaise de Normalisation) in order to ensure smooth customs clearance of goods. Controlled goods that arrive at the port after May 20, 2016 and have not successfully obtained the COC compliance clearance certificate will result in serious customs clearance delays, fines, and even the risk of goods being returned.

3、 Certification process

1. Material review: Please first fill out the inspection application form (provided by our company), packing list and formal invoice (stamped), and product testing report.

2. Fee Notice: Our company will issue a fee notice after the material review is completed. Please confirm and return the notification as soon as possible after receiving it, so that we can arrange the inspection within 3 working days after receiving the confirmation.

3. Inspection execution: The specific inspection time and location will be confirmed by our local operating company and the applicant.

4. Report review: Please provide the final packing list and invoice to the inspector at the inspection site for review.

5. Certificate drafting/issuance: We will issue a draft certificate and send it to the applicant within 3-4 working days after the inspection is completed. After confirmation, we will issue the original certificate.
